Frequently Asked Questions

What steps do I need to take to get treatment?

STEP 1: Contact Us

Contact us by phone or at www. roseclinic.com to make an appointment. Please read the policy and procedure so you understand the programs we offer at Rose Clinic. Our office will contact you to get you the correct patient information forms. You will need to fill out those forms and bring them to the clinic for your visit.

STEP 2: Evaluation

In the initial one hour evaluation, Dr. Stryker assesses your symptoms and reviews your detailed medical history, family history, social history and body functions. Prior to your visit, Dr. Stryker recommends you have a physical exam by your primary care doctor. Once your symptoms are assessed, Dr. Stryker will begin the step-by-step process for treatment. We suggest you bring in written questions prior to your appointment to make the best use of your time and thoroughly review your concerns.

STEP 3: Testing

After the evaluation, we use lab testing to help determine a diagnosis and treatment regimen. Testing may be done at home when furnished with a test kit, or it may be done with the assistance of an outside laboratory facility. For patients traveling out of state, you may chose to have some lab testing prior to your first visit to make the best use of your time. Tests of physical, physiologic and mental function may also be performed at this time.

STEP 4: Treatment

Following the initial evaluation, some basic recommendations may be offered before you get your test results. Once we get your test results, we will recommend a treatment plan, to start on a life-long program to heal and prevent disease. We have found patients heal best with more frequent visits in the beginning. Healing the body takes time, so it’s important that patients allow the treatments to work in the proper amount of time. Most illnesses don’t happen overnight, and neither does healing. Many patients prefer visits to be divided over a period of time.

STEP 5: Follow-Up

Healing and wellness is a process. Therefore we recommend periodic follow up appointments. The timing for a follow-up depends on the treatment and doctor recommendations. Medically supervised weight loss patients may be seen weekly at the start of the program.

How much does your clinic charge for services?

Fees vary based on the treatments and patient protocol. We recommend you review fees with a Rose Clinic patient representative prior to your visit.

Individual services are available on a fee-by-fee basis. Routine follow-up visits are included in the program maintenance fee which varies depending on your program. Most new patients will need three or four follow-up visits during the first year of treatment while proper dosages are being determined. Depending upon your symptoms, Dr. Stryker will determine the lab work, testing, and imaging needed. Routine lab tests cost an average of $100 to $500 per patient.

Does your office accept health insurance?

Rose Clinic does not bill insurance companies directly, however we are happy to provide you with properly coded invoices that you may submit to your insurer for reimbursement. Many insurance plans will cover the cost of office visits according to their out-of-network provider schedule. Please contact your provider for more details on coverage. Payment is expected at time of service.

Will my insurance cover the cost of prescriptions, labs and supplements?

Since insurance plans and companies vary, we recommend that you contact your insurance provider directly, because each handles out of network coverage and prescriptions differently. To make it easier for you, we provide you with properly coded invoices that you may submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. It is not unusual for supplements, custom compounded prescriptions, and specialized testing to not be covered, however they may be covered under a flex spending account if that’s available.

How do I get Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)?

BHRT is only available by prescription. Dr. Stryker performs a full evaluation to determine the proper dosages. A simple saliva test with blood testing will be performed at your convenience, in your own home. Once the results of the test are determined, Dr. Stryker and your compounding pharmacist work closely to determine the natural prescription hormone formulation that matches your body's precise needs.

Does my insurance company pay for BHRT?

Some insurance companies cover natural prescription hormones but individual plans vary. Please contact your insurance provider to answer questions about coverage.

Does Dr. Stryker do phone consultations?

Once a full medical evaluation is performed by Dr. Stryker, a telephone consult may be available for follow up and treatment revisions. We also recommend a physical exam performed by your primary care provider prior to treatment including a pap test, prostate evaluation and breast imaging study.

How long before I feel results?

Some people feel results within days, however most feel results within two to six months.

Will Rose Clinic replace my primary care doctor?

Rose Clinic offers consulting services only. We do not replace your primary care physician. They are responsible for your routine health problems, pap smear tests, prostate exams, routine physical examination and coordination with consultants.
